Do I Even Need a New Roof?

Most homeowners don’t realize this — but the majority of roofs that get replaced don’t actually need to be.

If caught early enough, many aging roofs can be restored instead of replaced — saving thousands of dollars and years of life on your roof.

Here’s the truth: as shingles age, they lose the natural oils that keep them flexible and waterproof. When those oils dry out, shingles start to crack, curl, and lose granules — the same issues that eventually cause leaks.

But if you catch it before the damage spreads, our Roof Restoration Treatment can reverse those effects.

The treatment penetrates the shingles, restores their flexibility, revives lost oils, and seals micro-cracks that lead to leaks. It also reduces granule loss, helps prevent fire spread, and improves adhesion so your roof can handle hail and wind better than before.

Every treatment extends the life of your roof by up to six years, and you can repeat it three times — giving your roof up to 18 additional years of life.

That’s a fraction of the cost of replacement, and it’s completely eco-friendly and non-toxic.

But here’s the catch — restoration only works if the shingles are still structurally sound. Once water starts getting underneath or the fiberglass mat is exposed, it’s too late. That’s why early inspections are everything.

If you’re dealing with storm damage (hail or wind) this typically disqualifies roofs from restoration as well.

At My Family Roofer, our certified inspectors will evaluate whether your roof qualifies for restoration. If it does, we’ll document the before-and-after results and guarantee a leak-free, trouble-free roof — six years at a time.

Don’t wait until a small problem turns into a full replacement.

Schedule your inspection and see if your roof can be restored instead of replaced.
